TextArray vs TinyWow

TinyWow advertises "200+ Online Tools" and describes them as "Free Tools You’d Usually Pay For" — PDF, video, image and a long tail of everything else — under the promise of "No Limits, No Sign-Up". Its privacy line is specific and worth quoting: "All files both processed and unprocessed are deleted after 1 hour."
That sentence is the whole comparison. Compressing a PDF or converting a video means the file goes to a server, gets worked on there and is deleted afterwards; TinyWow is straightforward about it and puts a clock on the retention. TextArray takes the other side: it does only the work a browser can do on its own, so there is no upload, no retention window and nothing to delete.
Where TinyWow is strong
- PDF, image and video work that genuinely cannot happen in a tab at any useful size — TextArray does not attempt any of it.
- A clear, specific retention statement rather than a vague privacy paragraph.
- No sign-up for the free tier, which is unusual for a site with a premium plan.
Choose by what the file is. For a scanned contract, a video or a batch of photos, TinyWow does things TextArray has no way to offer, and its stated hour-long retention is a reasonable trade for that. For text, data and code — counting, cleaning, converting, encoding, hashing, generating — there is no reason for the content to leave your machine, and TextArray is built so that it cannot.
The second difference is the funding model. TinyWow contrasts its free tier with a premium one that promises to "Create without limits, ads, or roadblocks", which is the usual shape of an ad-supported free tier. TextArray has no premium tier and no ads: every one of its several hundred tools is the same tool for everyone, and the only network request the site makes is a cookieless analytics beacon.
